IRF Trip Leader Course and Assessment

Raft Trip Leader (senior guide) must have a high level of Raft Guide skills and knowledge as well as a thorough knowledge of trip planning, whitewater rescue techniques, emergency procedures and have a current advanced first aid certificate.

Program

Meeting: May 7, 2017, Sunday 14.00, Bovec centre, Adventure Center Bovec

7. Sunday: meeting at 14.00,  Theory
8. Monday: Advanced rescue technics, scenarios
9. Tuesday: Assessment

Achievable qualifications:
- IRF Trip Leader class 2
- IRF Trip Leader class 3
- IRF Trip Leader class 4/5

Necessary personal equipment for all participants:
- Wet or dry suites, river shoes
- Helmet and PFD
- Throwbag (18m or more), whistle, knife,
- 2 x pulleys, 2 x prusiks, 4 x locking carabiners (screw gate prefered), flip line (5m safety tape)

Log book and advanced first aid certificate has to be proofed in advance.
